DREAMING OF SPRING

March 10, 2015

Processed with VSCOcam with s3 presetWe’re almost there!  This 50+ degree temperature on the East Coast better not be a tease!   In hoping that this weather is here to stay, I’ve started to do some Spring closet cleaning!  I stumbled across this photo, if from just a few months ago before the deep freeze.

When the weather is friendly, this is my go-to look – casual yet chic and most importantly, comfortable!  Well, comfortable depending on which Louboutin’s/footwork you go for.  For the time being, some of the exact items pictured above are sold out so I added a few other options in the lookbook slideshow below.

Now onto what’s in the photo details…

Rag & Bone/jeans they are one of my absolute favorite denim brands out there!   As you all know, it is pretty difficult to find the perfect fit for you unique body in the denim category, but Rag & Bone is one of my staples and might I add that most of their washes are super soft.  They hug my body in all the right places, so I suggest a try if you don’t own a pair already.  Also, they tend to run true to size, so I’m always able to shop online with them which is a relief!  It’s the worst when you are waiting for a package delivery and they end up being just a tad too big or too small all because of the inconsistency of the brand.

Alexander McQueen skull scarf in light pink.  I throw this baby on all Spring & Summer long.  It’s a sweet accent that amps up a simple denim and white top look which is exactly what I was wearing this day in the city.  It’s also a great add on to most looks, and lucky for us, they come in a ton of color ways!

Christian Louboutin Pigalle Spike (multi-color).  These are sold out but you can find similar styles in the slideshow below and above that I linked.  I’ll be honest with you, as much as I LOVE the look, they aren’t the most comfortable, mine are a half size too big so that makes it all the more difficult – I have to put all sorts of pads in to fill the space, what we do for the love of fashion!  I’d go with the So Kate OR the Pigalle at a lower heel hight, these are 120cm so super high, super narrow, and an itty bitty painful when stomping the concrete jungle!

Celine Luggage Tote.  One of my lust worthy bags I own; it’s nothing but pure perfection!  You can’t find these babies online brand new so if you’re serious on splurging on one of these, which I highly suggest if you are in the market for a new bag, stop into a Saks, Neiman Marcus, Celine shop or any other luxury retailer that actually carries Celine.    Celine has very limited distribution so don’t make a spontaneous trip without the research expecting to be carrying one home with you.  They sell out quickly, especially in the neutrals & fashion colors, and just all around!  So just do yourself a favor, save the aggravation of not getting what you want, and research before you head out to purchase.  Send me a message if you need help tracking the exact one you want down.  I have worked with many personal shoppers over the years while I was buying for Saks, so I can definitely give you some contacts to help you track down your perfect Celine.  Also, being a former buyer I happen to know which store locations are allocated almost all of the hard to get goodies!!!   Priceless information here at your fingertips, you’re welcome!

Ahh, this picture just makes me happy for Spring!

Shop links below for the look if you love it as much as I do!
